Allied Wallet Supports Charity Gala[/caption]At Allied Wallet, we pride ourselves on our top PCI level 1 security. We continue to encourage and teach businesses about the importance of high level security when processing payments. We believe security should always be number one and never compromised. We are always looking for new partnerships and sponsorships that reinforce this message so when we heard about the cause that is “Action Innocence” We immediately wanted to be involved.
Action Innocence fights, since its inception in 1999, to preserve the dignity and integrity of children on the Internet. Allied Wallet proudly sponsors and supports Action Innocence in the quest to protect our children online.
On Tuesday, May 14, 2013, Action Innocence held its gala at La Réserve in Genèva. We were very happy to not only sponsor the event but to also attend and gain an opportunity to learn from the evening as the hosts and sponsors spoke directly of abuses related to the Internet and what is acceptable in the name of innovation and technological progress.
The Gala decor was exquisitely refined and elegant, black and white with a Hollywood style red carpet, covered by a beautiful white marquee held in the gardens of La Reserve, Geneva. Six hundred guests from around the world gathered to support this prestigious event.
The evening began with a concert by John Legend, winner of nine Grammy Awards, wowing the guests with not only his talent but also his big heart. After his performance, John spoke of his own enthusiasm for the cause and encouraged others to support and take action. In fact, many personalities, by their presence, wanted to demonstrate their commitment to the cause including: Bernadette Chirac, Clothilde Courau, Julie Ordon, Hofit Golan, Craig David, Amaury Nolasco, and Victoria Silvstedt.
The auction was a huge success and helped raise an amazing £ 2,300,000 through unique and exceptional items: a gents watch Hublot, a Chanel pearl necklace, a brooch by Piaget, a Renault Twizy customized by Missoni, a Vacheron Constantin ladies watch, a portrait by the artist Jonathan Yeo, Grisogono earrings, bracelet Shamballa, a trip to IFAW whale watching, a portrait photo taken by Karl Lagerfeld, a couture dress Elie Saab, a sculpture by Fan Xiaoyan, a statue by Salvador Dali Daum, and a trip to the SXC / ADLUX space.
All of the guests were affected by the images broadcasted and spoken words, and guests were indeed very generous to such a wonderful cause.
“Together, we can make the Internet a safer place,” was the motto of the evening, reiterated by Valérie Wertheimer, President and Founder of Action Innocence. We at Allied Wallet echo that statement and belief. Lets work together to make a difference in the world today, and keep our children safe.
